Her heart beat as if she ran a marathon as the door closed behind her. Not taking anything for granted she checked her watch. 10 minutes earlier than she wanted to be. She looked up and saw the large mirror reflecting her image. A quick hand to her hair to smooth down her long blonde locks and she shrugged, why hadn’t she thought to put lipstick on? Who was she kidding, she never wore lipstick. Why try to be someone else at this moment? She was nervous enough.
A reader since birth she always delightedly talked about her current faves and not so faves every chance she could get. This weaving in and out the pros and the cons of every book she ever read into every conversations had lead her to this place. She swallowed hard and continued up the stairs to the door she was looking for.

Anne, the host, had become quite the celebrity in the book world over the time she spent giving people recommendations after listening to them talk about their current reading habits and what they dislike or like about them. Anne had a wonderful knack in reading people and often suggested just the right book to just the right person at the time in the their life. The What Should I Read Next podcast was a weekly show that was as vital as coffee to some people now that it had been in production for over 10 years. Anne had certainly found her sweet spot in life.
