a princess party recap

When God orchestrates your plans I think you can feel it. From the get-go the Paint with a Princess Party took on a life of it’s own.

  • The Lead came up with the idea.
  • My middle changer coordinated all the princesses.
  • The best seamstress in North Iowa sewed all the dresses. DSC_1504-2
  • The best treat maker, Happy Sweets, supplied all the sweet treats.19047071_10154342912552493_702360126_o
  • THEE best keeper of all things for creating had lots of egg cartons for our paint.
  • Extra hands showed up to help set up and take down without being asked.

Many texting conversations from all in involved frequently included the words,  “I am having a blast, this is a blessing to me, it’s not work at all!” and I would ask over and over again… “are you sure? I don’t want to be asking too much from you.” Over and over again I would hear, ” I love this.” and I just eventually started agreeing… the whole planning and preparing thing was just a blast.

Then the night came and the little princesses showed up and it was magical and delightful and enchanting all at the same time. Barely into the night I was already thinking about how to tweek it a bit so that the same princesses and possibly their friends could come back and have another party… and the dreams just kept coming even after I was laying in bed.

It’s one thing to be creative, but it’s another thing to be creative and have people join you in that creativity to make something magical. I can’t say it enough…. my heart it full Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. To all who helped, brought princesses to paint, and gave of their time on this journey. I am blessed to tears…

….but not that kind of tears.

The next Princess Party will be July 6th at 6:30. It takes a village to spread the word so when the event pops up in the newsfeed on the Kelly Gau Studio page.. feel free to share! The more princesses we have at the party the more fun it becomes for everyone.. and I LOVE fun!!!
